Code X: not attending in circumstances relating to coronavirus
Use this category where a pupil doesn't attend because their travel to, or attendance at, school would be:
- Against guidance relating to the incidence or transmission of COVID-19 from UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA), and/or the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC)
- Prohibited by any legislation or statutory directions relating to the incidence or transmission of COVID-19
In this case, this category will not count as absence (either authorised or unauthorised) for data collection purposes.
